The Masterplan for Wye River and Separation Creek foreshore evolved over a ten month period. This report highlights the key findings and recommendations of the study which involved site analysis, consideration of opportunities and constraints and draft and final management plans. The overiding treatment for the foreshore is to minimise intrusion by new structures, plant native plant species, remove weeds and maintain and keep the whole area as natural as possible, By far the greatest concern was a management issue of exploring alternative effluent and stormwater disposal systems ensuring that no pollution is caused by the Hotel and caravan parks. The plan also proposes and upgrade of the general store with a boardwalk linking to aproposed pedestrian bridge. The plan outlines short-, medium and long-term development opportunities (A).
