| Abstract |
Cowies Creek has been heavily cleared since European settlement and has limited amounts of remnant vegetation remaining; due to this the creek is subject to cycles of erosion and sediment deposition at various points along its reach. This report reviews previous reports and develops the strategies and recommendations contained therein into a detailed implementation plan for application to the entire length of Cowies Creek. Information in previous reports has been augmented by field inspection of all sites where works have been proposed, in order to clarify issues, verify the proposed strategies and determine the current status. |
